An edentulous, often atrophic jaw can pose a number of challenges to the doctor in the dental implant treatment process. Different rehabilitation strategies can be used to take into account the clinical situation and to achieve optimal long-term sustainable results in terms of function and aesthetics.

This lecture will review the specifics of whole jaw restorations with an emphasis on the points that are challenging and can compromise the entire treatment if not addressed appropriately.
