Immediate implant placement after tooth extraction has become a common surgical protocol in clinical practice. Proponents of this therapeutic concept claim to result in reduced exposure of patients to surgery, limited physiologic bone resorption, and therefore better aesthetic results.
Aesthetic expectations related to dental implant therapy are becoming increasingly demanding. The challenge for clinicians is to immediately provide a replacement that appears in harmony with the surrounding natural dentition and periodontium.
During this workshop activity, it will be possible to understand the problems of prosthetics to achieve temporary implant restoration in post-extraction sites to improve the healing period of soft tissues and aesthetic results.
Program:
– Importance of biomechanics of implant prostheses – Time loop – Gingival contour – Concavity of the support – Gingival maintenance and conditioning – Active and passive temporary restoration: when, how and why? – Prosthetic design – Soft tissue management – Emergency profile
